Lyson is a UK based brand which is well known worldwide as the name behind an innovative and award-winning range
of inkjet ink products.
Now part of the Nazdar group, the Lyson brand remains synonymous with Photography and Fine Art Giclee printing.
Lyson Print Guard coatings are suitable for use with Lyson and other none-original brand Inkjet Inks and
with all original brand Inkjet Inks.
Lyson Print Guard Spray is designed to protect and enhance inkjet printed images.
Apply two to three coats of Lyson PrintGuard spray across the full page width to protect your finished prints from
handling damage and finger marks, ozone fade and discolourations and fading caused by UV light exposure,
condensation, humidity and water spillages.
PrintGuard spray has a clear finish so application will not change the finish of your images and applying PrintGuard to flat or lifeless printed images will create an instant lift in overall colour intensity. For best results always allow prints to dry for 24 hours before applying the product to ensure ink is fully dried.
Lyson Print Guard Brush-On Lacquers are considerably thicker (higher viscosity)
versions of the spray product which are designed to be applied with a pure bristle paint
brush to larger prints and canvasses. Applying the Satin or Gloss Lacquers to
dried inkjet printed images will create a brand new appearance to the print and enhance
the overall colour intensity of the printed image. Gloss lacquers produce a super high gloss
finish and Satin lacquers will produce a subtle eggshell textured surface.
They are available in two formulations which are matched to different paper types. Slow Dry Lacquer is recommended for inkjet coated papers (the vast majority of inkjet papers on the market are coated with an ink recieving coating), and Fast Dry Lacquer is recommended for uncoated inkjet papers, such as certain types of Fine Art paper or canvas.
